History The organization was established in 2012 to promote Arcadia Municipal Airport through community events. Initially, they organized fly-in pancake breakfasts on the first Saturday of the month from November to April. Although the group has since disbanded, its legacy lives on in the community engagement it facilitated.

Aviation City and Community Initiatives Friends of Arcadia Airport Inc played a significant role in the development of Aviation City, a fly-in/camp-out center located right on Arcadia Airport. This initiative allowed pilots to taxi to campsites, push their airplanes under shade, and enjoy facilities such as picnic tables, fire pits, grills, refrigerators, and shower facilities.

Aviation City Campgrounds In 2014, land was cleared for the Aviation City Campgrounds to attract pilots who enjoy fly-in camping. The campsite includes amenities such as a large shelter and two small cabins with air conditioning and heating. These resources are available to campers, enhancing their overall experience.
