SHERBRO FOUNDATION SIERRA LEONE
MISSION: Sherbro Foundation Sierra Leone (SFSL) is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is helping rural Sierra Leone move from poverty to self-reliance through education and economic empowerment. We channel resources directly to our Bumpeh Chiefdom community partner CCET-SL and help develop their capability as an effective nonprofit organization. GEOGRAPHIC AREA: Bumpeh Chiefdom, pop. 40,000, is in one of the two most rural districts in Sierra Leone. It is considered the extreme poor, where most live on $1/day or less.
