Georgia Invasive Species Council The purpose of the GISC is to focus attention on the adverse effects invasive species have on the diversity of Georgias native plants and wildlife the use of invasive species management to prevent habitat loss the socioeconomic impacts of these invasive species changes in the seriousness of the different invasive species over time the need to exchange information which helps land owners and managers set priorities for invasive species management.
