ACBVI assists clients in coping with vision loss & combined vision and hearing loss (CVHL) - with courage and dignity and a "Can Do" attitude. The mission of the Arizona Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is to enhance the quality of life of people who are blind or otherwise visually impaired, by providing a wide range of services aimed at: Promoting independence, dignity, and full participation in all spheres of life; at home, at work and in the community. Educating the general public regarding the capabilities and needs of individuals who are blind and visually impaired, while serving as a resource for information about all aspects of dealing with vision loss. Facilitating acceptance of individuals who are blind and visually impaired throughout society, while working toward equalization of opportunity.
