Tyrone Township Historical Society
The purpose of our organization is to preserve, advance, and disseminate knowledge of the history of Tyrone Township. The Tyrone Township Historical Society was formed in May, 1975. The moving and restoration of the old Town House and the beginning of the Bicentennial activities were the motivating factors in its formation. Today our Historical Society officers proudly represent families who have built and served this community for decades. We enjoy bringing the community together to share our heritage through social events and regular meetings. At times we welcome guest speakers. Our latest project is working to get our Historical Town House moved to a safe place.
