The IGDA supports and empowers game developers around the world in achieving fulfilling and sustainable careers by: Connecting worldwide game developers at all stages of their careers to peers with shared interests and goals through a global network of over 150 Chapters and Special Interest Groups Advocating on issues that are important to the professional and personal success of game developers Promoting public awareness and understanding of game development as a profession Providing educational resources for students, game developers, and game development studios Leading research on the issues that matter most to game developers Encouraging inclusivity, respect, and ethical behavior amongst the game development community
