Aaron Matthew SIDS Research Guild
The mission of the Aaron Matthew SIDS Research Guild at Seattle Children's Hospital is to ensure that no parent ever experiences the loss of a child again to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). SIDS is the sudden and unexplained death of an infant younger than one year old. It's the leading cause of death among infants one month to one year old in the United States. There has been little to no improvement in the rate of death since the mid-90's. SIDS strikes without warning and leaves few clues about its cause. The causes are unknown.
