THCFA is a nonprofit organization intended to serve overseas Hakka and related minority ethnic groups to promote Hakka culture through various activities. To encourage more engagement from young generations of Hakka overseas THCFA provides an annual scholarship to Hakka youth who demonstrates outstanding achievement. The Hakka Taiwan Culture Award is awarded to Hakka with outstanding recognition in Taiwan and The Hakka Special Award is given out from time to time for those proactively promoting the culture and awareness of the Hakka people.
