The International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM) promotes research and knowledge in the field of human sexuality. To promote research and exchange of knowledge in the field of human sexuality by encouraging the highest standards of practice and research; to assist in developing scientific methods for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of conditions affecting human sexual function; and to promote the publication of and encourage contributions to medical and scientific literature in the field of human sexual function.
