Willow Wild Cemetery is an active, beautiful historic cemetery and memorial park located in Fannin County, Texas. It was founded in 1878 and is the finally resting place of several historical and colorful people, including the longest running Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Sam Rayburn. The 10,000 people lying at rest represent a rich tapestry of Texas history, pioneering spirit, and ingenuity which continues to grow. There is no place more alive than Willow Wild. The Willow Wild Foundation works to support restoration and capital improvement projects for Willow Wild Cemetery, to build an endowment to support the longterm preservation of Willow Wild Cemetery, to create activities to promote Willow Wild and to develop learning opportunities for the community.
