About Us Established in 2023 the Child Life Academic Society CLAS is a 501 c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing theacademic preparation of Certified Child Life Specialists. The Child Life Academic Society was formed with a vision to protect and advance the quality of child life education through its programs advocacy and research. Composed of current fulltime CCLS and emeriti faculty from academic programs across North America the Child Life Academic Society leverages its vast collective knowledge and skill to strengthen the child life profession and promote best pedagogical and curricular practices.
