Providing inclusive accessible climbing for people with disabilities to reach new heights of accomplishment BACKGROUND How it all started Over the past thirty years I have helped people in substance abuse recovery and have specialized in nutrition services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Three years ago I learned rock climbing at a gym in Boulder Colorado. Neither an athlete or a gym rat I was amazed that I could do it and find it so gratifying. I now climb indoors several times a week and have scaled a 1000 foot rock face in Colorado and climb frequently in Red River Gorge.
