Melbourne Avian Rescue Sanctuary is dedicated to providing a safe, loving and secure place for all exotic parrots regardless of the reasons that brought them to our sanctuary. Rescues range from abusive or neglectful situations, to unforseen circumstances. Our organization strives to find loving homes for all exotics placed with M.A.R.S. while providing a permanent place for those with less than desirable characteristics or health issues making them unsuited for adoption.We promote responsible ownership through education on all issues pertaining to avian welfare. Melbourne Avian Rescue Sanctuary is dedicated to allowing each and every exotic parrot the right to live a healthy and happy life, but most importantly to develop their own distinct personality.
