Meridian Rails Historical Society located in Meridian, Mississippi was founded to support and establish The Meridian Railroad Museum to utilize as place for railroad education, safety courses for all ages, to inspire future careers, inspire art and introduce new hobbies such as model railroading. Secondary to the museum, our society is also passionate about advocating and raising funds to complete any restoration projects of railroad equipment. The Meridian Railroad Museum is housed in a portion of the original depot constructed in in 1906. It later became the Railway Express Agency and finally is the home of our fantastic railroad museum.
