THE ORGANIZATION WORKS FOR THE ADOPTION OF LAWS AND PUBLIC POLICIES WHICH SUPPORT ITS MISSION. SEEKING LEGISLATION GERMAIN TO THE ORGANIZATION IS A PERMISSABLE MEANS OF ATTAINING SOCIAL WELFARE. AS A RESULT, AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE ORGANIZATIONS MISSION IS TO MONITOR PROPOSED LEGISLATION AND TO INTERACT WITH STATE LEGISLATORS AND OTHER GOVERNMENT LEADERS WHEN SUCH IS CONSISTENT WITH THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION. THE FUND MAY ENGAGE IN SOME POLITICAL ACTIVITIES IN FURTHERANCE OF ITS MISSION AS LONG AS THOSE ACTIVITIES ARE NOT ITS PRIMARY ACTIVITY.
