The Mountain is a nonprofit retreat center and youth camp that has been inspiring people since 1979 The Mountain Endowment Fund shall be operated exclusively to enhance the current and long-term financial viability of The Mountain Retreat & Learning Center, Inc., which was established in 1979. The Fund is used to support the mission of The Mountain: The Mountain enriches lives, fosters an appreciation of the natural world, honors the interconnectedness of all things, and inspires people to build inclusive, meaningful, sustainable communities throughout their lives.

The Bell Of Intention Reminds us to pause and reflect for a moment in the beauty of The Mountain Encourages us to remember who and how we want to be in the world Calls us to act upon our commitment to peace, justice and the common good May the rich subtle tone, created by many individual tones, be a metaphor for The Mountain community. The bell was artfully crafted from recycled material by Vince and Jan Bowden, and generously donated by Charlene Fitzgerald Dedicated May, 2010.
