💟 Our non-profit helps children with severe autism through building safe, in-home sensory rooms 🧩🏡 Safe Sensory Room provides "An Autism Haven at Home" by renovating the bedrooms of children with severe autism to be a room safe from harm and outfitted with sensory equipment, at no cost to the child's family. This is an intervention to enhance the home life of children with autism that has never been available before. There are therapy gyms that have safe, sensory spaces where a child can be brought to play, but no option for parents to bring that safe space home. The result is devastating- parents are helplessly watching their children harm themselves and others at home. Sleepless nights turn into unproductive, stressful days with no peace of mind in sight. Until now. These rooms are life-changing and we will not stop until every child that needs a Safe Sensory Room, gets one.
