Charlie Baker, the president of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and former Governor of Massachusetts, will be the featured speaker at the New England Institute of Technology Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island. He will also receive an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree. Rabbi Leslie Gutterman, affectionately known as “Rhode Island’s Rabbi,” will also be honored with an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree. Gutterman dedicated four decades to building Temple Beth-El in Providence into the largest Reform Jewish congregation in the state, and has been actively involved in community work to improve the lives of others.
