PMHU defies social barriers, builds unlikely connections, and creates compassionate communities by bringing high-quality, interactive music programming to individuals in carceral systems, healthcare settings, and under-resourced international communities. PROJECT: MUSIC HEALS US provides encouragement, education and healing through bringing high-quality live music performances and interactive programming to marginalized communities who have limited access to these experiences, with a focus on elderly, disabled, rehabilitating, incarcerated, and homeless populations. Now in its tenth season, PROJECT: MUSIC HEALS US has presented over 2500 free concerts, workshops, and residencies in hospitals, nursing homes, hospice centers, retirement homes, food pantries, centers for individuals with disabilities, correctional facilities, homeless shelters, and refugee centers.

This instruction has been invaluable marking the first time Ive had a dedicated tutor to guide me on my musical journey. Thank you for reminding me that even behind razor wire and locked inside of walls made of concrete I can still find strength beauty and hope for a better tomorrow. This is the first time I have been able to relax in here.
