Recording For The Blind & Dyslexic
Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic serves students from kindergarten through postgraduate studies that cannot read due to vision, perceptual or physical disabilities by uniquely providing textbooks on computer disk, as well as library services. Founded as Recording for the Blind by Anne T. Macdonald in 1948, RFB&D was originally established to record textbooks for veterans blinded in WWII, attending college under the G.I. Bill of Rights. In 1995, the name was modified to include students unable to read printed materials because of learning disabilities.
