The main goals of the program are to provide a safe and nurturing after school learning environment that expand learning opportunities, to teach the sport or discipline of Judo, teach computer skills, provide cultural enrichment activities, and instructional programs focused on homework and the Curriculum Content Standard adopted by the Louisiana State Department of Education. An equally important issue is to increase the awareness of the dangers of violence and the use of drugs by children, youth, and adults within our participating community.
