Educating, motivating and empowering students to make healthy food choices, live an active lifestyle, and become health advocates in their communities. SOSMentor's mission is to empower underserved Los Angeles youth to make healthy eating choices, live an active lifestyle, and become health advocates in their communities.For over eight years, SOSMentor has brought nutrition and physical activity education to under-served, low-income children and teens throughout greater Los Angeles. Our innovative programs combine health education with mentoring and the development of leadership skills. We partner with the Los Angeles Unified School District, after school programs, and nonprofit organizations such as the Rotary Club to deliver effective and affordable curriculum to students from elementary through high school. Students receive the education and experience they need to make healthy lifestyle choices and become advocates for health both at home and at school.
