The finder posted her picture with shelters in the area and she is chipped, but a dead end as she was never registered. After a complete veterinary visit Lone Star needs some applications to review! EllieMae Is up to date on all vaccines Microchipped and registered to rescue She was just spayed, and dewormed. She came in covered with ticks and dreadlocks Treated immediately by finder and now we just need to get her skin and haircoat healthy. Good grub is what she needs. EllieMae is affectionate and loves to be with people. She is happy to meet my dogs and a bit overzealous with my cat. She has a striking blue eye and a beautiful smile. UPDATE 1-8-2025 Mate is off to his new home today! We wish him the best as he adjusts to his new playmates Mate: 1.5 yr old (dob 4-23) neutered male about 90+ lbs Up to date on vaccines/ heart worm prevention Mate is a very sweet boy with lots of energy and love to give. During our time of fostering him, he did well with our grandchildren and other dogs. We have not introduced him to cats or other animals and cannot assess whether he will do well with them. He does need to be given time to adjust to any situation, as everything new is scary for him, and can set him back. However, once trust is gained, he is very loving and a great dog to have around. He is very trainable and is food motivated, but will need a consistent and soft approach of positive reinforcement. He is prone to relapsing and fear/flight if something new spooks him, but does not show any signs of aggression or dominance even in those situations. His preferred coping mechanism is flight, and a home with a larger yard where he can roam, feel safe and enjoy the outside will be best for him. He will make a great dog for a patient and slightly more experienced owner who gives him time to feel loved and comfortable.
