The administration efforts are handled by volunteers and the baskets are packed and delivered by members of the Ossining Volunteer Fire Department and other community members. The BakerCollyer Christmas Cheer Fund celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2015. It was started by an Ossining merchant who witnessed two children picking through a garbage pile for food.
