We are so excited to share that Syren is a Joey Pope Award for Parks Leadership 2025 Honoree! This award from @pdxparksfoundation recognizes emerging and ongoing leadership in parks and the outdoors. Syren was selected for their outstanding leadership in advancing equity and access to the outdoors with the disability community. "I am deeply honored to receive this award. Recognizing Disabled leaders is so important, and I'm so grateful for this opportunity to increase disability representation in parks leadership. I consider this a celebration of the Disabled Hikers community, and as challenging as the world may be right now, I am hopeful and excited for what we can accomplish together!" This award comes with a $10,000 grant and a year of support from the Portland Parks Foundation! We've redesigned the landing page and the trail guide posts to match the structure of the books, with a layout that flows much better.
