American Leadership Forum

The American Leadership Forum (ALF) is a national nonprofit organization in the United States dedicated to building stronger communities by joining and strengthening diverse leaders to serve the common good. Established in 1980, ALF was founded to provide a new model for community leadership based on cross-sector collaboration and establishing a strong network that leverages the knowledge and talents of diverse leaders.

Mission and Programs

ALF's mission is accomplished through its Fellows Program and Senior Fellows Network in each of the communities it serves. These programs bring together senior-level leaders from various sectors to foster service, philanthropy, and community development. By enhancing leadership capacity, ALF promotes collaborative problem-solving and leverages the strengths of diversity to address community challenges effectively.

Chapters and Scope

Currently, ALF has eight active chapters across the United States. These chapters include locations such as Silicon Valley, Mountain Valley (Greater Sacramento), Houston, Hartford, the State of Oregon, Tacoma, and Charlotte. Each chapter tailors the Fellows Program and Senior Fellows activities to meet the specific needs of the region it serves.
