It began as a way to share the Native American history of our state and specifically our region with my neighborhood through honoring National Native American History month during the month of November. Our mission Our history Our history The mission of the Sage Project is to increase community awareness of the rich cultural history and ongoing contribution of the Native American tribes of South Carolina. Through community education we hope to increase cultural appreciation diverse volunteer base and ultimately funding for oral history archival language preservation and literacy on behalf of the indigenous people the great state of South Carolina.
