Dedicated to preserving, protecting, and restoring the nearshore and marine waters of the Northwest Straits, Puget Sound We are a marine conservation foundation supporting the work of the Northwest Straits Initiative to protect and restore the health of the Salish Sea. The Northwest Straits Foundation's mission is to protect and restore the marine resources of the Northwest Straits and Puget Sound by supporting research, monitoring, restoration, stewardship, conservation and education programs and projects both at the local and regional level.
