HOME Transforming schools into safe havens for all students OUR WHY Research shows that students sense of belonging improves academic outcomes increases continuing enrollment in school and is protective for mental health. However for immigrant students the perceived and real fear of losing their parents to deportation can have a detrimental impact on their wellbeing and academic success. As immigrants we know that when educators create a safe and supportive learning environment the likelihood for success is greater. ImmSchools supports teachers and school leaders in cultivating a positive school culture and climate for all students parents and caregivers regardless of immigration status.
