THE LONG ISLAND BUILDERS INSTITUTE, FORMED IN 1941, IS AN ASSOCIATION OF BUILDING INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS WHO ARE DEDICATED TO MAKING LONG ISLAND A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE AND WORK BY CREATING A BALANCE BETWEEN THE ECONOMY, THE ENVIRONMENT, AND THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE AMERICAN DREAM OF HOME OWNERSHIP IN ALL OF OUR COMMUNITIES.

We are a notforprofit trade association representing all facets of the building industry including builders remodelers developers suppliers tradespeople and professionals. We advocate for policies that will stimulate the economy while protecting our communities. We believe smart growth is good for both business and the environmentand we work to ensure that all new development is compatible with our existing communities and does not put undue strain on our infrastructure.
