The automotive industry is ranked among the top in regard to suicide rates and untreated mental health issues. Brake the Stigma was created to put the brakes on the stigma surrounding mental health within the industry. This is accomplished by promoting awareness and support in the automotive industry by educating employers on the importance of mental well-being for employees. We envision a world where mental health is accorded the same significance as physical health, and where every individual, regardless of their background, enjoys unfettered access to the mental health care essential for their well-being. We emphasize the need for a workforce where every employer values and actively supports the mental health of their employees, fostering a healthier work environment.

Yet mental health often takes a backseatleading to stress burnout and alarmingly high suicide rates among industry professionals. At Brake the Stigma were here to change that. Our mission is to break down the stigma surrounding mental health provide support and advocate for a workplace culture where mental wellbeing is just as important as physical health.
