A heartfelt thank you to Tonya Baradaran for her thoughtful donation of "Spectrum of Cars", a children’s book she wrote to help her son build communication skills. Though she now lives in Texas, Tonya’s roots are here in Connecticut, and thanks to her father’s kind outreach, 10 copies of her book have found a new home in our autism program. Since Adele joined the team, she has helped our patients with autism make incredible progress by motivating speech, language and communication of needs, modeling activities of daily self-care and reinforcing positive outcomes when learning a new skill.
