The need for affordable housing increases every year as the cost of rents steadily rise while the minimum wage remains relatively stagnant. According to data collected from the Housing Authorities of Washington State there has been an increase of 50 in child homelessness. Without stable affordable housing families faced with homelessness suffer greatly with decreased health falling behind in education unsafe environments and uncertain futures.
