As #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth comes to a close, we’re proud to share Fernando’s journey, a reminder of what’s possible with the right support. After being hospitalized during a mental health crisis, Fernando was connected to S:US’ Pathway Home program, which supports individuals transitioning from homelessness or institutional care into independent living. With the help of his S:US coach, he set goals to improve his health and find a job. Through consistent support, therapy, and new wellness routines, Fernando began rebuilding his life step by step. After months of determination, Fernando found a job at one of S:US’ partner organizations, where he now helps others who have faced similar challenges. His physical and mental health have both improved, and he has regained a sense of purpose and stability.
