DreamCatchers, Inc.
Dreamcatchers mission is to help close the opportunity gap for low income middle school students and their families by providing free 1:1 tutoring, mentoring, and social-emotional support. Our award winning program serves 60+ low income middle school students and their 100+ parents, living in East Palo Alto and Palo Alto. Our after school classes provide individualized tutoring and social-emotional support to help our students be “High School Ready” by the end of their third year in the program (8th grade). 100+ student volunteers, from local high schools or Stanford University, deliver 6000+ hours of tutoring/year. Near-peer volunteers learn from our staff to mentor, teach, and connect, thereby building community with experiential learning for all.
