For years, First Light Partners has moved deliberately through a series of innovative training programs in Ukraine. Designed for healthcare professionals and public education we have one abiding principle, "Do one thing, do it well, and then move on." We have kept our focus and we have been successful at every stage of our undertaking. We are about to take what is arguably the single most important step forward in the public health sector of Ukraine since the concept of self-help and a lifetime of recovery from alcoholism and productive social contribution were introduced over a decade ago. Each stage we've passed through has had clear direction and concrete results. From training counselors in a nation where the word "counselor" did not even exist, to assisting these men and women as they transitioned into leadership positions in the treatment and recovery communities nationwide. From developing the first set of administrative guidelines for treatment centers, to the present, where every tool is available, workable, on paper, and appropriate for all of Ukraine. We have created the best treatment, administrative, training and public awareness material in the Russian speaking world. Our goal is a self-sufficient treatment industry for Ukraine and all Russian speaking nations.
