It is our mission to work in partnership with families and communities to enable children and adults with developmental disabilities to lead meaningful lives. Our mission is to enable children and adults with developmental disabilities to lead meaningful lives. By working with families and communities, we help children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead full, meaningful lives that include a chance to work and contribute their gifts to the community. Everyone has valuable talents and abilities. And everyone matters. We seek to transform the way communities and societies understand, relate to, and support citizens with developmental disabilities. Honoring diversity in values, heritages, abilities, and interests, we stand up for the rights of people with disabilities to enjoy the same opportunities as everyone else.Our program sites in Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx serve New Yorkers of all ages who have autism or other developmental disabilities, including many who also have physical challenges. Pure Vision Arts, our unique Manhattan art studio dedicated to serious artists who have developmental disabilities, serves artists from all over the New York metropolitan area.
