NCIA helps create a society that people who come into contact with human service or correctional systems are provided with care, concern and treatment. THE NCIA FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO SUPPORT THE NATIONAL CENTER ON INSTITUTIONS AND ALTERNATIVES, INC. IN THEIR MISSION STATEMENT, WHICH IS TO SUPPORT PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, MENTAL HEALTH DIAGNOSES, ADDICTIONS, HOMELESSNESS AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE INVOLVEMENT. THE HOLISTIC ARRAY OF SERVICES PROVIDED BY NCIA INCLUDE EDUCATIONAL, VOCATIONAL TRAINING, EMPLOYMENT, COMMUNITY INCLUSION, AND RESIDENTIAL LIVING OPPORTUNITIES.
