Ready Fest sponsors a back-to-school event that is a one-stop-shop for the students and families of Shelby County Kentucky to get all the items they need to be ready for a new school year. Backpacks, school supplies, clothing, hygiene products, dental screenings, physicals, vaccinations, and haircut vouchers are available to any student in Shelby County, at absolutely no cost to them. This one-day event brings the entire community together. The extra costs that families encounter this time of year can cause enormous financial strain. By going beyond the basic school supply list, Ready Fest aims to relieve some of that stress. With their supplies, clothing, and basic hygiene needs met, students can approach the beginning of the school year with excitement and be ready to learn.
