Daughters of Destiny and Hope Theresa Benjamin founder explains why she saw the need to open Daughters of Destiny and Hope. Throughout my years in education I have noticed that girls of color displayed low self esteem manifested in unhealthy behaviors. In learning these girls had low test scores with high absenteeism from school. They did not value themselves or their relationships with other girls.
