The Varsity Alumni Network and LEtterwinners Society Of Cal Athletics ATHLETES SUPPORTING ATHLETES About On February 12th 1908 fortyseven studentathletes from the intercollegiate varsity sports of the University of California Berkeley founded The Big C Society in order to establish the standards for earning a varsity athletic letter. Now organized as a 501c3 charity The Big C Society invests in technology and events that spotlights Cals varsity alumni in postsports careers and connects our community as the varsity alumni network of Cal Athletics. It also invests in sports equipment for our teams and medical funding for Cal studentathletes with lifethreatening injuries or illnesses and continues to steward the standards for earning varsity letter awards at Cal. Spotlighting It turns out the sensibilities that make Cals studentathletes top performers in their sports also make them elite producers over a lifetime.
