THE ROTARY CLUB OF STOCKTON WAS FORMED IN 1914, THE 92ND ROTARY CLUB TO BE FOUNDED. ORIGINALLY, ROTARIANS GATHERED WITH THE PURPOSE OF INCREASING MEMBERS' BUSINESSES BUT ROTARY QUICKLY EVOLVED AS A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION TO BECOME ONE OF THE LEADING SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS IN THE WORLD. STOCKTON ROTARY HAS A RICH HISTORY IN GIVING OF ITS MEMBERS TIME AND MONEY TO LOCAL COMMUNITY PROJECTS AND CHARITIES AS WELL AS SUPPORTING INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS, SUCH AS POLIO PLUS, THE GOAL OF WHICH IS TO ELIMINATE THE DISEASE. THE ROTARY CLUB OF STOCKTON CHALLENGES US ALL TO BE BETTER HUMANITARIANS AND RELIEVE SUFFERING IN THE COMMUNITY AND WORLD.
