Oregon Natural Desert Association

On a mission to protect, defend and restore Oregon's high desert 📍Conf'd Tribes of Warm Springs & Umatilla, Northern Paiute, Shoshone, Bannock & Klamth Tribes ONDA got its start in the mid-1980's, when a small group of desert activists joined together to advocate for the permanent protection of Oregon's high desert wildlands. In 1989, the organization was formally incorporated as a non-profit conservation group and since then we've emerged as a leader in efforts to protect High Desert lands and water from irresponsible livestock grazing, industrial development, mining, and geothermal development. ONDA uses education, litigation, and lobbying to achieve its mission and is one of only a handful of groups in the West focused on the protection of grasslands and desert waterways. ONDA has 5,800 members living throughout the United States.
