Wixárika Research Center
We strive to promote public awareness of the Wixárika (Huichol) culture of Mexico through an online archive of their art, history, and culture along with a news section dedicated to current events. In addition to the archive, we provide support for community initiatives that advance and preserve Wixárika culture and territory. Our foundation works to defend the sacred lands and natural resources vital to the cultural survival of the Wixárika people, and we help design, implement and finance environmentally sustainable projects for their communities.

Featured Articles | Wixárika Research Center Featured Articles Spring 2025 Scholarship Fundraiser Wixarika youth represent a bright future that incorporates traditional and local knowledge with technical skills learned in different institutions of higher education. Since 2018 the Wixarika Research Center has provided more than 60 multiyear scholarships for Wixarika students studying a variety of careers that include agronomy law business administration and medicine. Each year we offer scholarships to support different needs that include school materials transportation food and internet. Students accepted into our program will receivethe scholarship eachyear until they graduate.
