11 1 2 St Foundation
The 11 1/2 St Foundation is an educational foundation that supports scholarships for socio-economically disadvantaged students who are usually first generation college students. The scholarship recipients were initially Ruth Kravetz's calculus students at either Davis (now Northside HS) or Reagan High School but has expanded to include other students who meet the criteria. The foundation also sometimes provides small grants to improve equity and access in public schools serving socio-economically disadvantatged students of color .

We have awarded 213 scholarships totaling 149501 since incorporating as a 501c3 nonprofit in 2001. The student recipients are committed and intelligent and almost all of them are firstgeneration college students. Most family incomes range from less than 10000yr to about 40000yr.
