Coalition for a World Security Community

The Coalition for a World Security Community (CWSC) is a nonprofit organization advocating for the formation of a global community of democracies known as the World Security Community (WSC). This initiative aims to create a collective security framework open to democratic nations worldwide, with a mission to ensure the security and freedom of its members and act as a peacekeeping force globally, in partnership with the United Nations.

Its primary goal is to establish a World Security Community that operates on principles rather than geographical boundaries. This community would initially focus on safeguarding the security and freedom of its member nations and then extend its role to peacebuilding and peacekeeping efforts worldwide under the UN's auspices.

The organization envisions a future where the WSC evolves into a more comprehensive system of global governance, potentially leading to a fully democratic and universal world federation. This vision aligns with the need for global solutions to pressing global challenges.

Structure and Partnerships

The organization is incorporated in both the District of Columbia in the United States and New South Wales in Australia. It operates by collaborating with academic, governmental, and non-governmental entities to promote its mission. By working closely with the UN, particularly through mechanisms like the Peacebuilding Commission, the CWSC aims to create effective conflict prevention strategies and support reconstruction efforts in failed states.
