Springhouse Foundation Springhouse Foundation Springhouse Foundation was formed in 2019. It is an offshoot of the Chaparral Foundation which was created by Harriet and Harvey Herd in 1997. The Herds established their home as newlyweds in Midland Texas in 1940 making community service a priority. Their efforts served children education healthcare and other basic human needs and the arts.
