SmartVolunteer, a New York based non-profit organization, is driving a mass adoption of skills-based volunteering by non-profits, corporations and civic-minded individuals. Our mission is to strengthen the link between non-profit organizations and individuals who wish to volunteer within their chosen profession or area of expertise by creating a platform where the volunteers can select specific skills-based volunteer opportunities posted by non-profit organizations. The organization?s mission is three-fold: (1) to enable nonprofits and charities to significantly reduce their expenditures on professional services by increasing the quality and quantity of their volunteers, (2) to provide motivated and resourceful individuals with meaningful and productive volunteer experiences that utilize their professional expertise and (3) to create a vibrant community of like-minded individuals that can benefit from tremendous networking opportunities while working together to give back.
