Contributions are used to maintain the operation of the organization, and to facilitate the authors visits, including but not limited to the purchase of books for the audience, reimbursement of the authors, etc.

Your Custom Text Here MISSION Meet the Writers Inc. promotes literacy and fosters a love of reading in New York City students by bringing diverse authors and artists to their schools. Through the lively exchange of ideas with inspiring writers students become excited about books and the power of reading in their lives. Meet the Writers aims to reach all children but has a particularly strong presence in Title I schools where the majority of students are part of lowincome families.
