We Are Huntertown HISTORY IS OUR STORY Come explore Huntertown Community Interpretive Park and discover the story of Huntertown an African American hamlet or freetown settled after the Civil War. Although no structures remain local citizens and community partners are working to create a passive interpretive park to honor Huntertowns historic legacy. Located in Versailles Kentucky this 38acre park is part of the VersaillesWoodford County Parks and Recreation system. We invite you to walk along trails carved in the footsteps of ancestors who once lived worked and played on this very spot.
